Maija Nikula
Director, Data & AI, VR Group Plc
Nikula has worked with different kinds of data topics for over 20 years, including data governance, data sharing, data utilization, master data, technologies storing data, etc. She has a background in mobile (Telia, Nokia) and manufacturing (Konecranes, KONE, Wärtsilä) industries, and latest in mutual pension insurance (Ilmarinen).

But data is also the elixir for every company’s daily business processes; we don’t work with “pen and paper”. Whether we discuss business improvements and innovations based on data utilization or business-as-usual operational processes, data and its quality are always the backbone of a reliable end result. Even AI can’t do miracles without reliable data. Or it can, but the end result might look a bit hallucinated ;-)
